Some things have happened in my life recently, and they have made me stop and take a look at my art -- or my lack of it. I don't know exactly why it happened, but about two years ago I just stopped doing it. Oh, I still drew from time to time, painted randomly, but there was never that day to day practice and honing of the craft. And if I did do something, it was never posted here, and it was always something done in a rush.

I look back at my art and all I see here in this gallery are childish sketches and the beginnings of what I was trying to do two years ago: create a fan base of my original characters, and use my art and profile here on DA to tell the story. But, just as my daily practice slipped away, so did this desire. My art branched out and changed, and the content that I draw changed as well. I feel that my old work tells a different story than my new, and am finding it hard to get critiques on my newer work -- it's always the old anime that is commented on.

So, I am removing my old works from my gallery. I like this profile and am honestly too lazy to remake one, so I am taking work that I no longer want up and either removing it completely or scrapping it. I want to focus on what I am drawing now at a serious level and don't want to get pulled down into, "Oh, why aren't you drawing your cartoons?" (My brother always bothers me about this. He doesn't understand why I'm not drawing Vocaliods or Bishies or fan art. Although I enjoy manga and anime and find some of the art amazing, I feel that I personally have outgrown it as an artist.) I want to be serious about my art again by starting fresh and not getting bogged down by the content and process of the past.

Sorry if this bothers anyone. Also, anyone who commented and favourited my older work, thank you. It means a lot. Most of the major pieces are just going to be scrapped so they should still be around, but old pointless sketches I see as just going.
